![]() I will have to say he did have a couple of other issues that were related to old versions of packages that were still on his system (Debian Stretch installed when it was "testing") and they may also have had some effect in the problem starting, but I removed them after I sorted out the link problem. I had made a couple of adjustments to various config files which I reverted before the removal/re-installation process, but it did solve his problem (links not opening). I then installed (after reboot to ensure system cleanliness) Thunderbird (standard version from Debian repo) and also Firefox-esr (again from Debian standard repo) and after a reboot (may not be needed but it's a habit of mine) everything was working as it should. ![]() Hopefully, Thunderbird's development team will consider bringing back this email alert option in the future.
